This variety is an improved version of Pusa Sugandh 5 with on par yield, resistance to blast disease and 120 days seed to seed maturity. It possesses leaf blast resistance gene Piz5 and Pi54. In terms of yield, it is significantly superior to Pusa Basmati-1, Taraori Basmati and Pusa Basmati 1121. |
